Affordable Basic Health Insurance

For Full-Time, Part-Time And Seasonal Employees

The SCWA Basic Medical Plan is a lower -cost alternative to comprehensive major medical insurance for the member firms of the Southwest Car Wash Association. It was designed to help people who pay the costs of their own health care. The SCWA Basic Medical Plan provides fixed benefits for basic health care expenses - and includes discounts on prescription drugs. Participation in the plan is entirely voluntary for eligible SCWA member firms.

AFFORDABLE      

You already know that comprehensive health insurance is very expensive. The SCWA Basic Medical Plan offers a less expensive, limited benefit solution for SCWA member firms.

FACT: The national average annual premium for traditional health coverage is $3,383 for a single person and $9,068 for a family. In comparison, the annual premium for the Value Plan is $321 single and $937 family when the employer contributes to the plan.

FLEXIBLE

Three basic health plans (Value, Standard and Enhanced) plus a Dental option are available. Each participating member firm can offer one or more plans to their employees. The Dental Option can be offered by itself or in addition to the Value, Standard or Enhanced plans.
 

FACT: 68% of the population have annual medical expenditures under $1,000 and 80% incur less than $2,000. Just being able to afford to go to the doctor when symptoms first occur can prevent many serious conditions from developing.

The SCWA Basic Medical Plan is designed to bridge the gap by making benefits available to full-time, part-time, temporary and seasonal workers of the Southwest Car Wash Association's member firms. The SCWA Basic Medical Plan is guaranteed issue for all eligible employees--there are no medical questions or physical exams to qualify.
